August was a crazy, busy, fun month, and this wedding made it even better!! Allyson Davis Norman finally said "I do" to her long time best friend, Barrett in a gorgeous ceremony and crazy fun reception. I wanted to add a few special details to make it even more memorable, so I did a photo shoot with the couple prior to the wedding day so I could incorporate some artistic black and white prints of the two having fun around the ceremony. The wedding consisted of simple flowers and decorations; anything else would have been completely lost and overshadowed by the beautiful bride. The reception, though. . .That reception. No words for it. Held at the beautiful Manchester in Yazoo City, the bride selected gold accents with touches of blush, coral and white. We used 8 different flower options, gold floral containers, sequined tablecloths, and included a huge Manzanita tree to welcome guests to the reception. The cake, by Cakes by Iris, was exactly with Allyson asked for and was delicious, especially when accompanied with cupcakes by Cups N Cakes Bakery. OAK Catering provided several yummy dishes to go with some specialty menu items made by family. Upstairs guests were welcomed with a jaw dropping setting thanks to Devaine lighting's perfectly subtle purple glow, and a large gold sequin "photo wall" for a night full of fun photos. Overall, this was a fabulous wedding and, we hope, met and exceeded all of the bride's expectations. Thanks again for letting OAK: A Southern Experience take care of all of your wedding needs. We will always love you guys as part of the OAK family! I hope to post more pics as soon as I can get some from Greg's Photography! Many Thanks - Bethany, OAK's Event and Wedding Planner
