Our first official "FEATURED COUPLE" for 2014 is Allyson Davis and Barrett Norman! We are extremely excited to be able to get to know these two and play a role in the events that lead to their "happily ever after" in August. The following is their engagement story, straight from BARRETT'S mouth (which makes it a little sweeter) :). Much love and well wishes to these two. Allyson and I have known each other since we were about ten years old. Although we hung out and really liked each other, we never started seriously dating until 2008 (I was 19 and she was 18). Once we started dating we couldn’t believe it took us that long to make it official. She was always the girl of my dreams, but I never knew she felt the same way about me. I could have kicked myself for not asking her out sooner. We knew from the beginning of our relationship that we wanted to be together forever. In the beginning of December 2012, I finally worked up the courage to ask her father for her hand in marriage. He said, “of course, but you know how expensive she is.” On December 19th we were having Allyson’s family Christmas at her mom’s house. I decided that would be the night that I would propose. I had originally decided to just get down on one knee and pull the ring box out of my pocket and propose the old fashion way after everyone had finished opening presents. However, when the time came, I decided to grab an empty gift bag and slip the ring inside it. I gave the bag to her and said she forgot one. As she opened the bag, I dropped to one knee and asked her to marry me. She said yes! Little did I know, her brother had the video camera recording on top of the entertainment center the whole time. So, after everyone settled down we went back and watched it several times laughing at how nervous I looked pacing back and forth before finally making my move. Now here we are today just as happy as ever planning our wedding and future together.

We are excited to introduce you to our newest bride and groom, Elizabeth and Jimmy. We look forward to celebrating with them October 4, 2014! Here is their proposal story in their own words: It was the Friday of our annual alligator hunt. Jimmy and I had both gotten drawn for the hunt and Friday night was the night to try and get my two gators. I didn't go into school, and stayed home to get stuff ready for when Jimmy got off at lunch. Jimmy had taken Titan (my 4-legged son) to work with him so his parents could keep him for the weekend. Lunch time came. Jimmy came to the house to pick me up, and to me, everything was normal and he was acting fine (completely freaking out). We got to my parent's house around 1. I walked inside to help my mama get the snacks, sandwiches and drinks ready, while my dad and Jimmy got the boat ready (or so I thought). My Ginge (grandmother), Molly (sister), mama and I were standing in the kitchen when my dad came inside and said he needed our help. As we walked down the sidewalk, my dad pulled me to the front and told me to hold his hand and close my eyes. I had no idea what was about to happen (and I have thought about this moment A LOT). We walked to the driveway and he pointed me towards our pond and told me to open my eyes. When I did, Jimmy's parents were standing in front of me, one with a camera and the other with a video camera. Jimmy was standing in front of me with my child (Titan) and a sign around his neck that read, "Will You Marry My Daddy?". As tears ran down my face, I walked towards him and he knelt down on one knee and asked the big question. And............................................................ I said "YES!!!" (of course) We have truly enjoyed getting to know our newest Southern Belle bride and look forward to sharing in their "forever" moment in August. Here's Liza Ball and Johnathan Miller's love story in Liza's words :) Liza Ball & Johnathan Miller, A Perfect "Match" Johnathan and I met online on Match.com. After a bad breakup, my best friend Robert and I decided that it would be a fun idea for me to join match.com. I did it just for fun and thought I would at least get a few free meals out of the deal. I was not prepared to meet the love of my life. Johnathan and I hit it off over texting and talking on the phone and decided to go on a date after a few weeks. Our first date was on 10-11-12 at Julep Restaurant in Jackson, MS. I know its cliche but we fell in love almost instantly. On my 26th birthday, October 24th 2012, we both realized we were perfect for each other. On November 20th, 2012 Johnathan asked me to be his girlfriend. Ever since then we have been inseparable! We love going to Ole Miss baseball and football games and cooking out and spending time with family and friends. We have gone to bowl games, weddings, and had lots of fun road trips together! We have two dogs: Willis, Johnathan's hunting lab and Piper, my mini dachshund. November 6, 2013: On a rainy Wednesday night Johnathan took me to dinner at The Bulldog in Jackson, MS. The same place I had my 26th Birthday party and also the place Johnny and I fell in love. We talked and reminisced about that night over dinner and wine. After dinner we were driving back home to Madison when Johnathan wanted to take a different way into our neighborhood. It had stopped raining about 5 minutes before we pulled up to the Clubhouse and got out of his truck. We got out and went around to the back of the Club House on the porch that overlooks the water (and the spot where we will say our I DOs) and talked for a moment. Before I knew it Johnathan was down on one knee asking me to marry him. I had no idea!!! I knew he was going to propose, but I was not expecting it so soon.We are both very laid back and love to have fun. Johnathan loves to hunt and I love to shop, and although we have only known each other for a little over a year we feel like we have been together for a lifetime (in a good way)!
