ALLY + GIBI loved working with Ally and Gib throughout their engagement period and preparing for their wedding day! Ally has exquisite taste and was willing to go bold and allow me to use lots of COLOR in her flowers and décor. Her church was pretty perfect, as is, so the majority of our focus was on the reception venue (a gorgeous one, at that), and on her wedding party flowers (some of my FAVORITES ever).

September 23, 2017 - Vicksburg, MS When Eden approached us about her wedding, we instantly fell in love with her ideas, her family and her wedding location. It was a dream to work alongside them for 9 months, planning and finalizing all details, styling and creating. These weddings are ones that wedding professionals don't forget. The vendors who worked with us were amazing, and though they probably thought more than once "this lady is off her rocker," they each exceeded the expectations of their commitments and made this day perfect. Sena and Will's wedding day was one to be remembered. From the FIRST time I met Sena, I knew we were going to have a great time. She, her mom, her fiancé and his mom, their siblings and dads and everyone else we met along the way were generous, kind, trusting and loving - the PERFECT people to work with on a project such as this. They had ideas, but trusted ours. This was the wedding that all wedding planners DREAM of having. The couple married on the campus of their alma mater, Holmes Community College, and held their reception in the historic Holmes House, also on campus. Sena knew she wanted a "true southern event" with Pinks and Blues, and, despite ridiculous storms that weekend, things went beautifully! OAK Full Wedding: Florals, Décor, Staffing, Catering, Directing, Cakes, Invitations/Program Photographer: Lauren Wood Venue: Holmes Community College Band: American Hope Videographer: Moore Media The bride's bouquet was an original design, full of peonies, wax flowers, dusty miller, scabiosa and thistle. The mix of the pinks and blues highlighted her beautiful bridesmaids' dresses and complimented the cobalt blue of the men's attire. Lauren Wood, photographer, gave the couple PLENTY of options to hang on their walls! This is one of my favorites!!! Together with our graphic designer, Erica Stone of Erica Ashley Designs, we created a paper suite to compliment the other details of the wedding day. The watercolor effects were a gorgeous touch. The couple wanted an antique car for their departure, and how GREAT is it when the groom's grandfather owns THIS BEAUTY!!! I had one selected, but when this one was introduced into the mix, we all knew it was the perfect option! Great memories, too! In lieu of a traditional guest book, the couple chose to have a signature sign made. The guest sign was later framed and displayed at the reception. Sweet little niece as the flower girl. Such a beauty! Detail shots are SO IMPORTANT from a wedding day! It's these little details that can be forgotten; we love the photographers who make it a priority to capture such images! The bride's cousins' band, American Hope, entertained the guests during the reception.
SARAH HARPER AND JENNINGS MILLS MAY 27, 2017 VENUE: FRENCH CAMP, CHAPEL IN THE WOODS AND KNOX HOUSE (RECEPTION) OAK FULL WEDDING PLAN, CATERING, FLORALS, STYLING AND DECOR, CAKES JEFF CHAO PHOTOGRAPHER BLUE SILK BAND PARKER MEDIA VIDEOGRAPHER We met Sarah while preparing for her sister, Jessica's, wedding (who was wed in December), and we were so excited to be trusted with both of these ladies' weddings within just a few months of each other. Sarah knew what she wanted, and where she wanted it. And, her plans turned out beautifully. The sacred ceremony, full of worship songs and prayers was held in the breathtaking view of the Chapel in the Woods, a place that holds fond memories for Sarah as she spent many years as a camp counselor there. The Knox House, with all of it's beauty and quirkiness and welcoming owners, was the perfect place to end the night. There may not be much in Kilmichael, MS, but we are glad we found this jewel! We fought off the rain and the heat to welcome the new Mr. and Mrs. Jennings Mills. Here are just a few of the highlights of her day. Enjoy! Sarah's wedding is proof that a variety of green bridesmaid dresses can look AMAZING! She wanted some corals and blush tones to pop alongside her greens, and it all pulled together perfectly! The yummy chocolate and strawberry groom's cake was the centerpiece to a table full of memorabilia from Jennings' life; his trophies, his favorite drinks and his favorite snacks! The flute through the forest setting was the perfect delicate, unique musical touch that the ceremony needed. Thanks, Jack, for being so talented! The Blue Silk Band never disappoints! When you have five sisters, you learn how to treat a lady. The honorary bridesmaids looked stunning in their mix of styles of peachy blush dresses.
ALL PHOTOS BY RACHEL SOLOMAN PHOTOGRAPHY http://www.rachel-solomon.com/ When Lindsay approached us about creating the florals for her wedding day, we were ECSTATIC! Lindsay Vallas (Ott) is an outstanding wedding photographer in Mississippi (lindsayvallas.com) and one of our favorites to work alongside on wedding days. When you eat, breathe and sleep weddings, and especially wedding details like she does, you have BIG plans for your own wedding. To be selected as the vendor to create her florals was not only a humbling task, but a big one! Another benefit of being a part of a wedding vendor's wedding is getting to work alongside an excellent team of other wedding vendors! See bottom of the blog for more info on wedding vendors. Planning: Signature Occasions
Catering: Fresh Cut Dresses: Elle James Bridal Hair and Makeup: Molly Gee So, I'm a little late in posting this gorgeous wedding, but these two lovebirds are amazingly beautiful people, as were EVERY member of their wedding party. Charlotte Stringer did an incredible job capturing these images at McClain Lodge Venue. We had the extreme pleasure of creating their florals, using Christina's inspiration pics as our guides. Thank you SO much for letting us have a part in the day!
When we heard from Amylynn last July, our FIRST reaction was "now THIS is an OAK bride"!! We were thrilled with her story, connected by our love for the Lord, and excited to get started. We've written about Tanner and Amylynn's story several times in the past, so this time, I want to focus on her WEDDING DAY!! OAK full wedding plan, Florals, Coordinating and Decor Spinelli's Cathedral Venue Erica Ashley Design - Stationary Allison Jeffers Photography Jay Garcia Magic - Caricaturist Amylynn selected a palate of pinks and whites, with a request for a white bouquet. We selected a combo of gorgeous ranunculus, garden roses, astilbe and scabiosa with olive leaves for an accent. Pops of color were added to the bridesmaids bouquets with amazing double tulips and pink ranunculus. One thing I love to do with my brides is design every element of their wedding around their desired look, so we also created custom invitations and programs with a logo designed especially for her! Spinelli's Venue offered a beautiful backdrop for a beautiful ceremony. After walking her down the aisle, Amylynn's dad surprised the bride and groom with a song! Later, at the reception, the groom did the same! One thing is for sure, this family is FULL of unconditional, raw love and the desire to make each other happy. One request that the bride had for me was to work some cotton boles into her wedding SOMEHOW! So, we created a guest book arrangement that was full of the perfect white cotton. The most fun part of planning weddings is looking for a way that incorporate something unique into the day. We have used caricature artists in the past, and they are always a hit with the guests! This caricature artist, from Jay Garcia Magic, came with an extra special treat. . .Jay Garcia came along and performed some on site magic for the guests during the cocktail hour! While there are too many amazing photographs from Allison Jeffers to post, these show a glimpse of what turned out to be an amazing weekend. As this wedding was a destination wedding, it brought it's own challenges, but in the end, the vendors, the venue and the people in Texas, as well as both families (from Hawaii, DC, and lots of other states!!!) were delightful to work with. Regardless of WHERE a wedding is, it is all about the sacred ceremony of joining two lives before God.
We are honored to have been part of Amylynn and Tanner's wedding, and know that their "forever" will be amazing. We can't wait to see what God has in store for them and the future they create. Much love - -Bethany Get ready for a LONG blog post! There's just SO MUCH to say about these 2 and their fabulous Christmas wedding!!! Amanda Luckett and Stephen Scott, along with their families, were SO MUCH FUN. We truly grew to love them as our own, and I will probably be inviting myself to family gatherings in the future. You won't find a couple more loving, southern, and anxious to get married than these two. We had the opportunity to bring some original elements into their wedding that we were so thrilled about. From flying in the caricature artist from AstroCat Studios, to utilizing our handmade 8' cross at the alter, from the cookies n' milk station, to the hot chocolate bar (complete with the Mr. and Mrs. mug toast), we had a blast. Guests entered to the music of a harpist and to custom programs outlining EVERY four-legged, furry member of the family that wasn't able to make it. Providence Hill Farm sets the perfect backdrop for any wedding, and ESPECIALLY one full of horse lovers! These tame fellows had to make themselves shown in the pictures!
Thanks so much to Lindsay Vallas for the, as always, amazing shots and to First Look Productions who not only came in at the last minute to do us a huge favor with the videography, but also introduced a new "on site editing" technique that allowed us to see glimpses of the finished product during the reception! We were SO excited that our "getaway car" contact had the PERFECT solution for the wedding day exit! And, who can forget her dad and uncles' "big secret" as they hopped on stage for their production (with flutes full of Sprite) and fake money being tossed in the air. Amanda chose a palate of burgundies and whites, perfect for Christmastime, and had a photo FULL of bridesmaids, honorary bridesmaids and flower girls (in perfect little Christmas floral crowns). The marsala dresses next to the blue suits were a "win" in the attire department. Not to mention Amanda's dress! Wow!!! We are so humbled and thankful at the opportunity to have a role in your wedding day. Thanks so much for trusting us with all of the details and allowing us to join in the fun! Mikaela and Dylan were just so sweet through their engagement and wedding process. They are evidence that young love can be true love. I've known Mikaela for YEARS, and was so excited when she approached us about her wedding. We had a blast creating details for their big day. We loved the FIREWORKS and the cowbell send off! Both such personal touches for these two!
One new element we were able to introduce was our oversized arch with hanging chandelier. It worked PERFECTLY in her church! So much love and so many thanks to Mikaela and Dylan. Here's to forever! Sebastopol, MS Wedding OAK Full plan, florals, catering, styling, directing Holly Letkiewitz Photography Jessica and Brenton had a magical Christmas wedding, on one VERY chilly weekend! Throughout the planning process, I grew to love Jessica, Brenton and their families. It was such an honor to play a role in the wedding of these two, and also exciting that I get to plan her sister, Sarah's, wedding next!
The love that these two have for each other is undeniable. They laughed, cried, hugged and danced the night away, surrounded by guests, a great band and a few special touches (like the live artist!)!
