I just love these people. Ashley and Taylor came to us just a couple of months before their wedding, ready to get married and full of love. I was SO EXCITED to be a part of this beautiful couple's beautiful day. Here are a few pics documenting the gorgeous jewel tones, tons of candles and fun, fun night at the Winstead's home.

We had the honor of providing the florals for the beautiful wedding of Regan and Madelyn Monk in Louisville, MS a couple of months ago. Here are a few highlights of the day! All photos by Katelyn Anne Photography (katelynannephotography.com)
Our featured couple defines the term "long distance relationship"!! With families and homes across the United States, from D.C. to Hawaii and several states in between, the two finally had a chance to find THEIR new "after the wedding" home and start getting moved! Their choice of Arizona makes for some scenic days ahead. What a story to tell in their street signs! Tanner and Amylynn will soon be living off of Alpha and Omega streets. The beginning of a new life, and the end of an old, represented well in this daily reminder! Our bride's BEAUTIFUL mom surprised her by bringing HER wedding dress to Amylynn's "dress search"! With the mega cathedral length dresses and trains of the past, this one would follow the length of our Cathedral's aisle! The groom and his mom designed and put together some truly great "Be My Groomsmen?" gifts! With ONE special for his "Groomslady", his sister who will be standing by his side at the ceremony! More and more (and more and more) planning is happening by the day. From invitations, to flowers, to travel plans, to tacos, this wedding is full of details and fun. We just can't wait for their forever to begin! Stay tuned for more!!!
We are so excited to have a part in the wedding of Deah and Ethan in April. Here's there love story, in Deah's words:
4 years ago Ethan and I met through a mutual friend and there was almost an instant connection between us. I knew something was always different about him and how I felt around him was different but I never thought of it. There was a time span for a while where we were hanging out on the weekends with other mutual friends at get togethers around the town he lived in and is from. I enjoyed being around him and having such a great friend to be around. Sadly I was unable to hang out with all of my friends due to work and moving to far to hang out every free chance I got. We lost touch. In March of 2015 I was getting my house ready for my roommate and I to move into within the next when suddenly my phone kept going off and I realized Ethan was blowing my Instagram up and liking my pictures so I returned the favor and did the same thing on his pictures. After doing that back and forth for a few days he finally messaged me on Instagram just wanting to catch up on how everything has been going in my life. We were talking and texting every chance we got it was that connection that had always been there between us. On April 22,2015 he asked me to be his girlfriend and i couldn't help but be excited and say Yes! Times were tough after that because instead of spending 4-5 days a week together Ethan had to go to work in Texas and we didn't get to spend as much time together as we used to. After dating for a few months he moved in with me. He was having to go back and forth from his house to where I lived at so much because he was always at my house. December of 2015 hit and I decided to take him back home to Texas with me and Ethan my grandparents and I all went to go look at Christmas lights ( I'm a little kid when it comes to looking at lights) We went passed this gazebo and it had always been my favorite place to look at lights since I was little ,and that's when Ethan realized he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. He said when he saw my face light up like it did he never saw me look more beautiful ever before than that moment. On December 25,2015 Ethan's family was doing Christmas at their house. He came up and gave me this big box. I was actually terrified to open it but once I opened it I found a small note and another box this went on for a few more boxes when I found this small box and I thought he was messing with me. It was ear rings! But, that's when he proposed to me. I couldn't have asked for a better proposal and now I'm marrying my best friend I met Mikaela a few years ago and fell in love with her immediately. She is full of spirit, personality and generosity, and I am SO excited to have the opportunity to plan and execute her wedding for her in January!! Here's Mikaela and Dylan's love story in her own words:
How we met: Throughout both of our high school years we knew of each other but we talked. I saw him play a few baseball games and I thought to myself, "Wow he's really good, and very good looking", but that was all. A few years went by and it was the summer before my senior year. I was definitely not looking for anyone to settle down with, or even a relationship for that matter. Late one night I received a message on Instagram... It was from Dylan and he wanted to know if he could have my number... Obviously it was a yes! Haha. We began to text and talk over the next few days on the phone. On our first date I knew there was something so special about Dylan. It has been a little over a year and a half and I couldn't ask for anyone better. He is my rock, my best friend, and my soulmate. I am forever grateful God chose him to be my husband! How he proposed: After my graduation my best friend and I had a big get together at my Papaws Pavilion. I thought all of my family and friends were there to celebrate my graduation. (Little did I know what was about to happen) There were a lot of people there and I'm a people person so of course I wanted to talk to everyone there and thank them for coming. Dylan kept trying to get me to go outside but I kept telling him to just hold on. Finally, he grabbed my hand and said, "come outside I have your present in my car." I had told him earlier that week that I wanted a Ronaldo for a graduation gift, so I was hoping that is what I was going to open! I believe what I got was a little better though! Haha. We began to walk outside towards his car. We get to the gazebo out on by the pond and he says "come on your gift is out here." I never thought anything about it because he is always doing something sweet, so I figured it was something like that. We got to the end of the gazebo. I looked around, he had pictures of me and him strung all around the gazebo. Everything was decorated so beautiful. (This is when I somewhat begin to figure out what is happening). He then takes my hands and begins to try to talk to me ,but we are both so overwhelmed with joyful tears! We stood there for almost a straight minute and then I said, "Well are you going to ask me or not"? We both laughed. Then he began to tell me how much I meant to him and that no matter what he will always love me and cherish me. He then got down on one knee, pulled out the most gorgeous ring I had ever seen and asked me to marry him. When I said yes lights lit up the gazebo. I heard everyone start clapping and screaming with excitement as they began to take off running toward us. I was in complete shock and so excited! I couldn't believe that Dylan had pulled something this incredible and beautiful off. Of course with the help of some great friends! Now we are less than 4 months away from our big day and I cannot wait to start this journey with my best friend! We are SO excited to take you through the wedding process with one of our 2017 couples! Because of their amazing and unique story, we have selected Amylynn and Tanner as our featured couple! Here's a quick introduction to them, some pictures of their engagement and the sneak peeks of the BEAUTIFUL venue they have selected in Comfort, TX in which to hold their ceremony! We are so honored to be selected as their wedding planners and coordinators, as we are with EACH of our brides! The beautiful engagement picture above was taken by Emily Willis - www.emilywillis.co/ After an unforgettable proposal in a hot air balloon, Amylynn reached out to the OAK team about being a part of her wedding! We were thrilled and humbled to be asked, and went to work doing what we could to assist. Both the bride and groom are from "military families", Amylynn's dad is a Navy Captain, and Tanner's dad is an Admiral in the Coast Guard, so while both are loved and adored by people all over the US, the combined (nearly) 35 moves has left neither of them with a true "hometown"! While this is part of their charm, it also meant that literally the SKY was the limit in selecting a wedding spot! After a (somewhat hurried, in order to nail down a spot) search, the search was narrowed to 4 states, and then to 1, and then to one gorgeous little spot near San Antonio, TX - Spinelli's! While there are many "next steps" before the "I dos" in February, we invite you to join us through the planning and execution of the wedding journey for this sweet couple. They are easy to talk to, easy to love and we are humbled and excited to be a part of this wedding. photo by Emily Willis
There's something SO special about a wedding when you have a relationship with BOTH the bride and groom, and the entire OAK staff knew both of these adorable people for years and years before they finally tied the knot. Robbye and Kurt have dated practically forever, and we were SO THRILLED that they not only finally got engaged, but allowed us to have tons of freedom with their wedding! We love you both, Reynolds family, and we wish you a lifetime of laughs and love.

But very very rarely do the pictures from our weddings end up on our walls. This one was one of those. My little brother married the love of his life a few months ago, and I had the honor of taking part in the wedding by providing the florals and some other details at the beautiful Rosegate Venue. Beth was stunning and the bridal party was one of the most editorial I have ever seen. The day was perfect and the photos by Eliza Kennard Photography (http://www.elizakennard.com/) were too!

Chelsea gave us very few "specific" that she knew she wanted, and allowed us to have freedom with her wedding. That, to any wedding stylist and floral designer, is not only a compliment, but also the most incredible music to our ears. With her ceremony in a church with a large choir loft, we created backdrops with natural moss and hanging floral arrangements to break up the space. Coral, Mint, Gold and Black were everywhere and the elegant B. Gatewood studio was beautiful with parasols hanging from the ceiling (photos to come) and had our custom made photo booth for entertainment, along with an entirely gold, coral and mint candy bar. . . It's all in the OAK Details! Please enjoy this peek at the Gainey Hannah wedding and look for updates in the coming days. Much love and Many thanks - Lindsay Vallas Photography http://lindsayvallas.pixieset.com/ Erica Ashley Paper Goods OAK styling, florals, décor, directing, catering (full service package) Here are some more beautiful pictures of the perfect wedding day of Lindsey and Cody. The January day was beautiful, warm (that lovely Mississippi weather!) and everything you would want your wedding to be. This ceremony was held inside the barn, in the alley, instead of outside as we normally do, and the results were just as beautiful! These two families were the most loving, laid back and joyful families we have ever worked alongside, and we are grateful for the continued friendships we have with them. - Photographs by Gail Goss Photography.
