When Lindsay approached us about creating the florals for her wedding day, we were ECSTATIC! Lindsay Vallas (Ott) is an outstanding wedding photographer in Mississippi (lindsayvallas.com) and one of our favorites to work alongside on wedding days.
When you eat, breathe and sleep weddings, and especially wedding details like she does, you have BIG plans for your own wedding. To be selected as the vendor to create her florals was not only a humbling task, but a big one! Another benefit of being a part of a wedding vendor's wedding is getting to work alongside an excellent team of other wedding vendors! See bottom of the blog for more info on wedding vendors.

So, I'm a little late in posting this gorgeous wedding, but these two lovebirds are amazingly beautiful people, as were EVERY member of their wedding party. Charlotte Stringer did an incredible job capturing these images at McClain Lodge Venue. We had the extreme pleasure of creating their florals, using Christina's inspiration pics as our guides. Thank you SO much for letting us have a part in the day!
When we heard from Amylynn last July, our FIRST reaction was "now THIS is an OAK bride"!! We were thrilled with her story, connected by our love for the Lord, and excited to get started. We've written about Tanner and Amylynn's story several times in the past, so this time, I want to focus on her WEDDING DAY!!

Amylynn selected a palate of pinks and whites, with a request for a white bouquet. We selected a combo of gorgeous ranunculus, garden roses, astilbe and scabiosa with olive leaves for an accent. Pops of color were added to the bridesmaids bouquets with amazing double tulips and pink ranunculus.
One thing I love to do with my brides is design every element of their wedding around their desired look, so we also created custom invitations and programs with a logo designed especially for her!
Spinelli's Venue offered a beautiful backdrop for a beautiful ceremony. After walking her down the aisle, Amylynn's dad surprised the bride and groom with a song! Later, at the reception, the groom did the same! One thing is for sure, this family is FULL of unconditional, raw love and the desire to make each other happy.
One request that the bride had for me was to work some cotton boles into her wedding SOMEHOW! So, we created a guest book arrangement that was full of the perfect white cotton.
The most fun part of planning weddings is looking for a way that incorporate something unique into the day. We have used caricature artists in the past, and they are always a hit with the guests! This caricature artist, from Jay Garcia Magic, came with an extra special treat. . .Jay Garcia came along and performed some on site magic for the guests during the cocktail hour!
While there are too many amazing photographs from Allison Jeffers to post, these show a glimpse of what turned out to be an amazing weekend. As this wedding was a destination wedding, it brought it's own challenges, but in the end, the vendors, the venue and the people in Texas, as well as both families (from Hawaii, DC, and lots of other states!!!) were delightful to work with. Regardless of WHERE a wedding is, it is all about the sacred ceremony of joining two lives before God.
We are honored to have been part of Amylynn and Tanner's wedding, and know that their "forever" will be amazing. We can't wait to see what God has in store for them and the future they create. Much love -
Get ready for a LONG blog post! There's just SO MUCH to say about these 2 and their fabulous Christmas wedding!!! Amanda Luckett and Stephen Scott, along with their families, were SO MUCH FUN. We truly grew to love them as our own, and I will probably be inviting myself to family gatherings in the future.

Amanda and Stephen's wedding was all about love, family, God and Christmas. You won't find a couple more loving, southern, and anxious to get married than these two. We had the opportunity to bring some original elements into their wedding that we were so thrilled about. From flying in the caricature artist from AstroCat Studios, to utilizing our handmade 8' cross at the alter, from the cookies n' milk station, to the hot chocolate bar (complete with the Mr. and Mrs. mug toast), we had a blast. Guests entered to the music of a harpist and to custom programs outlining EVERY four-legged, furry member of the family that wasn't able to make it. Providence Hill Farm sets the perfect backdrop for any wedding, and ESPECIALLY one full of horse lovers! These tame fellows had to make themselves shown in the pictures!
Thanks so much to Lindsay Vallas for the, as always, amazing shots and to First Look Productions who not only came in at the last minute to do us a huge favor with the videography, but also introduced a new "on site editing" technique that allowed us to see glimpses of the finished product during the reception!
We were SO excited that our "getaway car" contact had the PERFECT solution for the wedding day exit! And, who can forget her dad and uncles' "big secret" as they hopped on stage for their production (with flutes full of Sprite) and fake money being tossed in the air.
Amanda chose a palate of burgundies and whites, perfect for Christmastime, and had a photo FULL of bridesmaids, honorary bridesmaids and flower girls (in perfect little Christmas floral crowns). The marsala dresses next to the blue suits were a "win" in the attire department. Not to mention Amanda's dress! Wow!!!
We are so humbled and thankful at the opportunity to have a role in your wedding day. Thanks so much for trusting us with all of the details and allowing us to join in the fun!
Mikaela and Dylan were just so sweet through their engagement and wedding process. They are evidence that young love can be true love. I've known Mikaela for YEARS, and was so excited when she approached us about her wedding. We had a blast creating details for their big day. We loved the FIREWORKS and the cowbell send off! Both such personal touches for these two!
One new element we were able to introduce was our oversized arch with hanging chandelier. It worked PERFECTLY in her church! So much love and so many thanks to Mikaela and Dylan. Here's to forever!

Jessica and Brenton had a magical Christmas wedding, on one VERY chilly weekend! Throughout the planning process, I grew to love Jessica, Brenton and their families. It was such an honor to play a role in the wedding of these two, and also exciting that I get to plan her sister, Sarah's, wedding next!
The love that these two have for each other is undeniable. They laughed, cried, hugged and danced the night away, surrounded by guests, a great band and a few special touches (like the live artist!)!

I just love these people. Ashley and Taylor came to us just a couple of months before their wedding, ready to get married and full of love. I was SO EXCITED to be a part of this beautiful couple's beautiful day. Here are a few pics documenting the gorgeous jewel tones, tons of candles and fun, fun night at the Winstead's home.

We had the honor of providing the florals for the beautiful wedding of Regan and Madelyn Monk in Louisville, MS a couple of months ago. Here are a few highlights of the day! All photos by Katelyn Anne Photography (katelynannephotography.com)
Our featured couple defines the term "long distance relationship"!! With families and homes across the United States, from D.C. to Hawaii and several states in between, the two finally had a chance to find THEIR new "after the wedding" home and start getting moved! Their choice of Arizona makes for some scenic days ahead.
What a story to tell in their street signs! Tanner and Amylynn will soon be living off of Alpha and Omega streets. The beginning of a new life, and the end of an old, represented well in this daily reminder!
Our bride's BEAUTIFUL mom surprised her by bringing HER wedding dress to Amylynn's "dress search"! With the mega cathedral length dresses and trains of the past, this one would follow the length of our Cathedral's aisle!
The groom and his mom designed and put together some truly great "Be My Groomsmen?" gifts! With ONE special for his "Groomslady", his sister who will be standing by his side at the ceremony!
More and more (and more and more) planning is happening by the day. From invitations, to flowers, to travel plans, to tacos, this wedding is full of details and fun. We just can't wait for their forever to begin! Stay tuned for more!!!
We are so excited to have a part in the wedding of Deah and Ethan in April. Here's there love story, in Deah's words:
4 years ago Ethan and I met through a mutual friend and there was almost an instant connection between us. I knew something was always different about him and how I felt around him was different but I never thought of it. There was a time span for a while where we were hanging out on the weekends with other mutual friends at get togethers around the town he lived in and is from. I enjoyed being around him and having such a great friend to be around. Sadly I was unable to hang out with all of my friends due to work and moving to far to hang out every free chance I got. We lost touch. In March of 2015 I was getting my house ready for my roommate and I to move into within the next when suddenly my phone kept going off and I realized Ethan was blowing my Instagram up and liking my pictures so I returned the favor and did the same thing on his pictures. After doing that back and forth for a few days he finally messaged me on Instagram just wanting to catch up on how everything has been going in my life. We were talking and texting every chance we got it was that connection that had always been there between us. On April 22,2015 he asked me to be his girlfriend and i couldn't help but be excited and say Yes! Times were tough after that because instead of spending 4-5 days a week together Ethan had to go to work in Texas and we didn't get to spend as much time together as we used to. After dating for a few months he moved in with me. He was having to go back and forth from his house to where I lived at so much because he was always at my house. December of 2015 hit and I decided to take him back home to Texas with me and Ethan my grandparents and I all went to go look at Christmas lights ( I'm a little kid when it comes to looking at lights) We went passed this gazebo and it had always been my favorite place to look at lights since I was little ,and that's when Ethan realized he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. He said when he saw my face light up like it did he never saw me look more beautiful ever before than that moment. On December 25,2015 Ethan's family was doing Christmas at their house. He came up and gave me this big box. I was actually terrified to open it but once I opened it I found a small note and another box this went on for a few more boxes when I found this small box and I thought he was messing with me. It was ear rings! But, that's when he proposed to me. I couldn't have asked for a better proposal and now I'm marrying my best friend
